Help keep the Pl@ntNet app free, ad-free, for everyone, support citizen science and open data. A very useful application for identifying the world’s flora. Help Pl@ntNet Free App.

Those who follow my posts on this site know how much I personally care about FREEUSEFUL sites without any form of advertising. This site is the condensation of my thoughts.

I have always featured and in some way “sponsored” this free application on the homepage of this site. And as you know I DO NOT SPONSOR anything that is not useful and free to access.

I have been using the application for some time on both Android and IOS. It is simple and immediate to use. Download the app, register for free. Simply with a photograph, you identify flora from around the world. Be it a leaf, a flower, a grass or anything else. I must admit that it is not 100% accurate. But I personally use it often, and I think it is reliable at least 80% of the time.

Like all sites – FREE or without any form of advertising, there are obviously costs. Becoming a contributor to the application is an important step. A DONATION is a bigger step and will help keep the site free and accessible to all.

Pl@ntNet is a tool to help you identify plants with images. It is organized into thematically and geographically diverse flora. Choose the one that corresponds with your region or area of interest from the list below. If you don’t know what to choose, choose “World Flora” which has the broadest coverage but will return less accurate results than more specific flora.

It’s Christmas time. I think a small donation could be a gift we give ourselves. A useful gesture for an application and a service that is often useful and practical.

Thank you for your attention in reading this post. I hope you will consider my suggestion.

See you in the next post!
