As of October 30th, META's social platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, now require payment to avoid advertisements. Personally disengaged from Facebook, my visual storytelling relies on Instagram, sharing original photos daily since September 2020, recently intensifying to twice a day. Crafting, selecting, and validating images demands substantial time, a precious and scarce commodity. While appreciation varies, my Instagram presence embodies a creative endeavour. The shift to a paid model imposes a weighty consideration, as the time investment for my creative output faces a new dimension. Instagram's evolution challenges not just preferences but the intrinsic value of creative expression within a monetized social sphere.
Butterflies, those delicate and mesmerizing creatures, have long been a subject of fascination for photographers and nature enthusiasts. Their intricate patterns, vibrant colors, and graceful flight make them perfect subjects for photographers seeking to capture the beauty of the natural world. However, in the digital age, where authenticity is constantly under scrutiny, the realm of butterfly photography is not immune to challenges, particularly the rise of fake videos on platforms like YouTube.
Butterflies are among my favorite subjects to photograph. The reasons are easy to understand. However, capturing them in photos and finding them in nature is not so straightforward. Photographing these beautiful insects from the Lepidoptera family is truly challenging.
