Multi coated lens, made in Japan. Specimen I’ve, it’s referred to MD mount lens. – UC means “ultra compact” telephoto lens. Date of production: 1995.

Bought in December 2021, my opinion it’s positive. This lens it’s a quite good lens, sharp and defined. Easy to use, dozens of photographic shots testify the quality of this vintage lens. I like in particular usability of course, as ” zoom ” lens. The minimum focus distance (MFD) at 0.5 meters allows some “close up”, at the same time it is valid for landscapes and portraits. My specimen has an “infinite” focus to be carefully adjusted, but after some practice it is all in all simple to use. Suggested lens. *** Update January 2024 *** This lens has seen relatively little use. Only in the last few months I’ve had the opportunity and time to test it with a certain continuity. I confirm my previous opinion, it is certainly not the best in its category, but it is an honest lens. A good lens, which can be used in practically any context. It is not particularly bright (F4) but has good sharpness, and renders colors naturally. It is worth a purchase if found at a price of € 40/€ 60, and in good mechanical and optical condition. ***
